An eccentric mail carrier, Hendrik Frederik, is promoted to full postman. Loneliness and an oppressive home situation drive his mind in a dark direction. He begins to tamper with the mail he handles. Soon, however, a creeping feeling takes hold — the sense that he himself is being watched. He descends into a surreal paranoia where nothing is as it seems...
